Born in Jamestown, ND and raised in Barneveld, WI, small town values have shaped who I am both personally and professionally. My upbringing instilled in me that hard work and perseverance leads to success, that honesty and communication are the key to building trusting relationships, and, above all, that compassion and empathy are two of the most powerful attributes we have in forming a meaningful connection. These are all things inherent in who I am that have carried over into how I manage my cases as a litigator.
Civil litigation is a very personal area of the law. As such, it is imperative that my clients and I have an open, honest, and trusting relationship. I strive to ensure that each and every case is handled with the care and attention that it would be if the roles were reversed. Ultimately, the golden rule guides how I litigate. My main areas of practice at Gingras, Cates, & Luebke include professional malpractice, intentional torts, business torts, product liability, sexual harassment, employment discrimination, and family law.

On a personal note…
Although I’m originally from North Dakota, I am a Wisconsinite through and through. I love deep fried cheese curds, there’s nothing better than a day on the lake, and the long “o” often finds its way into my dialect. However, full disclosure, there is one minute detail about me that is often considered sacrilegious to the great folks of Wisconsin—I am an avid Minnesota Vikings fan.
I am 50% Colombian. My mom moved from Cali, Colombia to Jamestown, ND with her family when she was a teenager. Most people struggle to understand the logic behind that decision and, I have to say, for the longest time I did as well. Leaving beachy paradise for the frigid plains just doesn’t seem like the most ideal choice.

If You Were Not a Lawyer What Would You Be:
I would love to be a volunteer teacher in communities around the world. It is a position that would satisfy my insatiable wanderlust, while allowing me to help facilitate the everlasting gift of education.
